Hollow body

Post by 56nortondomy » Sun Mar 07, 2021 4:29 pm

I've just finished this one and it's leaving to the new owner on Tuesday. My first go at this type of guitar, it was a challenging build for me and took about 12 months on and off.
Tassy oak body
Nato neck
Gotoh bridge and tail piece
Orpheus p90 pickups ( sound great )
Gotoh tuners
Ebony f/board
I painted it black at first but completely stuffed it up so i went with the burst which is something i'm more comfortable with.

G'day Wayne,
What a ripper guitar BB King would be proud to own it.
The burst really come out fantastic and I know the P90s growl.
Beautiful guitar.
Cheers

Well that looks great to me - like it was always meant to be a burst!. Is it a set neck?

Hi Wayne,
What a beautiful build. Is it a semi hollow like a 335? Love to hear how the P90's sound in it.
Thanks Andrew

Thanks Andrew. I used es335 plans to build it, I made some alterations to the centre block that's all.

335's will always get a thumbs up from me. That one looks particularly nice!
