This is a 0 size guitar I made recently for my 9 yr old.
Top: Englemann
Back and Sides: Australian Blackwood
Bridge and fingerboard: Casurina
Neck: Blackwood and silky laminate
Martin short scale
French Polish
This one sounds so sweet, I'm really happy with it.

That is one very lucky 9 year old. I hope he/she will be playing it for many years to come.

Can't agree more, how lucky do you need to be as a 9 y/o to get a handmade guitar! Really like the rosette!
