Double cutaway acoustic

Another one from the Asylum of Section 8 Guitars
This time it's an acoustic,
Camphour Laurel back and sides, bridge and headstock veneer with jarrah logo inlay
Camphour Laurel bindings
Silver Quandong top
Tasmanian Oak neck and fingerboard with jarrah tumbling pill inlays
Bunya pine bracing
25.5" scale
94mm body depth
Brass bridge pins
Bone saddle and nut
Handmade in Rural Queensland

Congratulations, That is one nice looking instrument. Must have had hell's own trouble keeping the back strip colour from permeating into the back? Were you trying to make it hard for yourself with two different cutaways? Be great to hear it being played.

Hi Asgilbert,
The back strip is bordered by a veneer and the back was masked off when I applied the red stain, It went really well, no troubles.
The only challenge with the double cutaway is remembering which one is on the treble side when making the patterns.
As for hearing it played, well I'm a lefty so I'll be taking it to a righty soon for a short demo.
