Build thread in video form, beginning to end, including all CNC involvement.
Hope don't look down on me too much for cheating because the CNC did all the work for me.

Stunning Allan! Well done!
What's the extra 2 hole sin the bridge? Are they carbon fibre pins?

Thanks.
The two holes are small bolt's which act as bridge mounting security. It also makes glue/clamping the bridge a breeze!
Some people may say it's not needed, but the person whom I pinched this method from told me a story about one of his customers who was doing an Australian tour and after much travel, hot cars, being banged around etc etc the bridge had come unfixed. The bolts held it in place and he was able to finish the tour using the guitar until it could be repaired. Such a simple thing, two tiny little bolts can make a massive difference.

Thanks Allan.
RE: the story you were told i'd think if the guitar had been traumatised so much that the bridge glue joint failed there would also be other failures having a drastic affect on the guitar that would make it almost unplayable/sound terrible - bracing is the first to come to mind.
I also wouldn't hold much faith in 2 bolts holding down the bridge well enough (after a glue joint failure) without sound drastically changing.
Out of interest: How much weight is added by the bolts?

I have not weighed them, however they are small enough you can't even feel the weight of them in you hand.

Opera music accompanying the video.....not what you'd expect from a bloke who usually makes axes destined for playing a very different genre of music. Nice touch

I just picked music that I thought suited the mood of the guitar.
My clients range from fresh out of school teens to mid sixties retired gents, client genres from metal to blues ot pub rock to classic cover band artists. It's just that I get pigeon holed as a "metal guitar" builder. As long as they keep selling they can call them whatever they like.
This guy for example the owner plays mostly old school rock and blues:

I tried to talk the customer into black ebony instead of the snakewood but he insisted, it turned out really well and the colour just works!
The Ebony cap he wanted plain black and I swayed him to this cap, he's glad he gave in on that one.

Nice work Allan,
In my opinion the CNC was underused

.
How thick was was that bridge plate? Looked pretty beefy in the video.
Well done on the finish, you have clearly mastered the art of finishing.

Bridge plate is just an offcut from a back set, so it's not that thick. Can't remember the exact measurement, I have it all written in a book what i need to take each piece of timber to, but I haven't made enough acoustics at this stage to pluck the numbers out of my head!
