Quilted Maple and Mahogany Concert

This one for a bloke in Sydney who's wife said he should get a nice uke for his 50th birthday in late May. I slipped it into the last build cycle with a bunch of other instruments in order to have a chance on delivery before the day.
We talked about the details a bit, and then he let me run with the rest. Love that type of work. This is what I came up with, and his comment today when he saw the pictures made my day.

Sweet jesus Allen. We spoke. We to'd and fro'd on the details and the choices and you got to work. And what work! This is an extraordinary looking uke and you can just tell its going to sound unbelievable. Thank you for the craftsmanship and making the journey fun!
