Back & Sides are Clermont Blackwood - same species as Tasmanian Blackwood but from a warmer climate.
Soundboard is Bear Claw Sitka Spruce from Alaskan Specialty Woods
Headstock and bridge are also Clermont Blackwood.
Bindings are Curly Emu Apple also from Central Western Queensland
Neck is Curly Maple

Nice wee uke Chuck, cant beat a blackwood/bearclaw combo :) what sort of C string did you use? It looks like a wound string

That looks the very nice Chuck. You did a great job on it.

What neck style did you use?

Nick,
The strings are 'Hilo' brand, a combination of Black Nylon and Silver wound.
I've just about finished a Baritone Uke and it has two silver wound strings.

Allen,
Thanks for your help with the glass beads, they worked well
As for the neck. i've used a bolted neck, just used the same arrangement that i use on my guitars.

Thanks for the encouraging comments
Cheers
Graham

What size of pearl dots are you using Graham? They look to be 5 or 6mm perhaps?

BTW, you did a great job on the rosette. Only someone who has done a stopped pattern can appreciate how difficult they are to do.

Hi Allen,
Yep,
The Pearl Fret Board markers are 6mm.
Again the same as I use for guitars.

I don't think my rosettes are in the same class as yours, but I'll keep trying. It's a fine balance between too much and not enough.
Cheers

Just my opinion, but on a uke I'd suggest going down to a 4mm dot to keep the proportions in line with the instrument.
