And the second....

A slightly larger body (385mm lower bout)
Macacauba B&S
Sitka top
Laminated Fijian hog neck
Blackheart Sassafrass rosette, headstock and end details
Ebony fretboard, bridge and binding
25.4" (645mm) scale length

First time I've used a Manzer style wedge. 15mm difference across the lower bout. makes a big difference in playing comfort.

My late uncle died about 15 years ago and recently my mother gave me some "stuff" that she had received after the sale of his house. He was a wildlife artist and wood-turner and the "stuff" included a couple of 200 x 200 x 150mm blocks of timber. One is myrtle burl and the other was this blackheart sassafrass. Love the look of this stuff and the good news is I have enough for another 20 guitars or more. I haven't cut into the myrtle yet to see how the figure is. I hope it looks as good as this sassafrass!

Really pleased with the sound of this one.

Cheers,

Shane

Nice clean lines, think I prefer this one over your other Shane but great effort on both :cl :cl I like the eternity twist at the twelfth :D

Thanks Nick. Yes, I prefer this one also. It's fair to day the other one includes a few "experiments" aesthetically so came out with a bit of mongrel vibe  but I really enjoy playing that smaller shape and am impressed with the sound of the walnut/cedar combo.

What everyone else said. This one looks really nice Shane, you covered a few bases with these recent builds and you sure have given the customers some good choices.
