Elegant instruments Ross !!!Where did you find that beautiful piece of QLD Maple  I trust Jamie appreciates every effort to craft that little plinker...was it a commission?

Wattle, never even contemplated that species of build, but, you never never know till you have a bloody go!! looks Great, how's the tone??

Very nice instruments here. The QLD Maple back is a killer. It even matches (sort of) the rear head plate. :) ;)
I also like the first photo (the tree on which instruments grow). Great colours!

Thanks Gaz. I picked up a slab off a guy and this nice figured area was in the bottom corner. Jamie loves it. It was commissioned for a Country duo called Sista Burley who in turn gave it to Jamie as a gift.

I found a fallen wattle tree and thought i`d give it a try as it belongs to the Acacia family(as does blackwood). Nice to work with and bends easy. They seem to sound good. I`v also built a stave snare drum. timber work is finished just have to machine the lugs and add hardware.

Thanks Markus
