Hi All. This is my first post here.
I have built An electric guitar and five ukuleles and about to start my first accoustic guitar.
Thought I would post some photos of my last concert ukulele.
Top, sitka spruce. Back and sides, bindings and headplate are tasmanian blackwood. Fingerboard and bridge, ebony with abalone inlay. Neck, mahogany. Aquilla nylgut strings. LR Baggs pickup.
Regards
Ross

Welcome to this musical Mob, Ross !!

Always good to have another Ukerie builder on board to share the madness & a fine looking instrument for show & tell.

Quite original headstock & fretboard design. Is the inlay in reference to the new owners initials or maybe your Personal Best build to date?

Would love to see pic's of your other builds.

Cheers

Gaz

Thanks for your comments. Sorry guys, this one has gone to a mate of mine in Perth :( . Yes the inlay is his initials and yes it is my best one yet. :D

That one looks nice Ross, thanks for showing off, and welcome to the ANZLF. The fretboard made me look at it also two or three times more than "necessary". Ukulele builders seem to be a strange bunch of people, some wind the strings the "wrong way" on the tuning posts  , and others put the highest frets on "the other" side than usual, and even leave out the 15th fret! Did you run out on fretwire? Just kidding - and if you really did hammer in your last millimetre of fretwire on this uke, don't tell anybody ;). I think that fretboard end looks cool, can I have it? (just the fretboard end! ).

Hi Marcus. I just found the fifteenth fret in the shed. Kidding. I used to finish the fretboard with just the S shape on the end of the fingerboard. Then I dropped a steel rule end on the soundboard on a previous build and came up with this to cover the dent. So this is what I do now. I like it. I have called myself Soul guitars and this is where the S shape on the soundboard and headstock come from.
Cheers

Nice fix Ross. This explains everything. Although, I would have liked to hear that it was strictly for acoustic reasons.
