Hi,

I just finished this New 000 "The kauri"
I changed the shape slightly 1. so it would fit in one of my favourite cases!!! 2. so I could open up a bit more area for
for the top to vibrate .3 I wanted a more modern look.
The whole guitar is made out of Recycled NZ woods.
Kauri top.
Heart Rimu Back and sides
Kauri neck
Puriri fretboard and bridge.

I couldn't be happier with the look and sound of it. I have a recycled cedar /ancient kauri version of the same guitar around the corner so it will be interesting to here the differences.This has an amazing punch and sustain awesome midrange and bass response.

HAHAHA, My wife reckons I modelled the lowerbout on my big bum!!!
maybe the guitar looks like me, but it definetely sound's like her....hahaha.
I won't go any further becuase I quite like living.

One of the most gorgeous instruments I've seen. Sometimes a person has a whole bunch of ideas in his head, lots of design possibilities, new things to try, and he then sees something that brings it all together in an AHA!! moment. I just had that moment

What sort of finish did you use? It really lets the wood speak for itself wonderfully.
