Blackwood Tenor Ukulele

This one's is my first Uke and made for the wife of a friend. Was actually finished before Easter and finally got around to taking some pics before it disappears. I must say it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!!

I must also thank Allen for his information and advice about specifications and the construction process (and for his spec template) :)

Scale Length - 17"
Fret Board - 12" radius
Body - Blackwood
Soundboard - Blackwood
Neck - Spanish Cedar
Fret Board, Bridge, Head Stock veneers - Ebony
Finish - Hand-rubbed Oil
Machine Heads - Grover Sta-Tites
Strings - D'Addario

Great build there Mike. Nice Blackwood too! I like to build the odd Uke myself and I have planned a Tenor to match my concert. One day!!

You can see why Blackwood is my favourite timber for it's appearance. With the black contrasts & oiled finish this ones a stunner Mike, your mates wife will be very happy with it I'd say. If she's not.......send it over to me :wink: :lol:
