Hi,
Completed my first build
over the christmas break (2 years in the making).
What a sweet sounding guitar, very bright & lots of sustain.
Compared with a factory made guitar their is no comparison, I don't want to put it down.
I took it to work & a work colleague who has played for 30 years was impressed with my 1st attempt, couple of flaws, slight fret buzz on the 6th string,
neck is abit bulky & then of course their are the mistakes I managed to hide.
All in all a BIG learning curve. . .
Anyway it's only a dreadnaught, but good for parties,
Materials are:
Engleman soundboard
EIR back & sides, fretboard, bridge, headplate.
Maple bindings, bwb purfling, paua rosette
Mahogany neck
Cheap set of machine heads
Durobond lacquer finish
