I know this feeling well! Some days I just want to take the instrument and go play horseshoes at the router table.I then threw the top across the backyard like a frisbie.
Whatever you build, people will all tell you how wonderful it is (aunts and grandmas are great for this) and the hardest impulse to fight is the one to go down the list of every last thing that went wrong with it, rather than just saying "thank you".
