Tiger Myrtle and Ancient Spruce Soprano

Post by Allen » Thu Apr 18, 2013 6:08 am

One of my favourite woods to work with is Tiger Myrtle, and this again is a commission using some Ancient Spruce.

Top - Ancient Spruce
Back and Sides - Tiger Myrtle
Bindings - Cocobolo
Fret Board - Honduran Rosewood 12" radius
Bridge - Honduran Rosewood
Rosette - Spalted Mango
Purflings - Black/Red/Black
Neck - Spanish Cedar with CF truss rod
Tuners - Peghed 4:1
Finish - Mirotone over epoxy pore fill
Strings - South Coast Ukes

You're just getting too good at these things Allen, reckon we should bring back the ban
Both you've posted are wee rippers & the Ancient Spruce just brings something new and different to the table.
