Blackheart Sassafras and Lutz 000.

Post by ozwood » Fri Nov 30, 2012 8:16 am

Hi All,

A couple of Pics and a sound bite of my latest build .

B&S: Blackheart Sassafras (Tim Spittle)
Top: Lutz (a Woodrat Cast Off )
Neck: NGR (Anagote)
Bridge & Fretboard : Puiri ( Christian)
Bindings : Black Wallnut. ( Model and Hobby shop $5 for 5 cut to size )
Headplate : Spalted Sassafras (sydney wood show)
Tuners : Grovers.
Nut and Saddle : GraphTec Both compensated.
Top Bracing is Falcate .
Back bracing is Radial Live.
Bolt on Neck .

This is the first guitar I have given the Full "Trevor treatment" the proof is in the sound I think.

I am really happy with the Sound and feel of the Guitar.

Soundport is the result of a catastrophic bearing failure , fortunate spot though , I thought mmmm good spot for a sound port !.

Hi Eric,

$650 would be about cover the materials , so I'd have a look at it ! if it's just scratches you could sand it back and re finnish it !.

Cheers,
Paul .

Hi Paul,

This guitar looks just HOT!

This Blackheart Sassafras set had ended up in the right hands, I'd say! :cl :cl :cl

Customer just picked up the Guitar, could not wipe the smile from his face with the back of the shovel, I think that's the nicest part of handbuilding a Guitar , you put your heart and soul into it and when the customer plays it and smiles , It just the icing on the cake!
Merry Christmas Everyone! :gui :gui :gui :gui
