Neck Bolt Hole Borer

Post by Taffy Evans » Thu Nov 09, 2023 12:12 pm

Hi, I had not planned to post another jig post so soon, but after a question from Bob H, regarding my neck fitting method I said I would show how I do it.
As with many of the machines and jigs I come up with they possibly seem like overkill to some. However, they work for me and make my time in the workshop more enjoyable.
It's not just the guitar necks I build that get put in this machine but banjo necks, and oftentimes finished necks from instruments under repair that may require a conversion from faulty dovetail or tenon fitting to a bolt-on fitting. I have done that many times.
Anyway…
