New fret slotting rig

I have retired my old sliding mitre saw style slotting setup and I put together this fret slotting rig today.

The sliding mitre saw has done well by me, but it had a little bit of flex which I wasnt entirely happy about.

I Started off with this second hand radial arm saw:

Removed the old chipboard bench and threw on some stuff I had left over from building my kitchen.

I then added my stewmac slotting jig which I've hacked away at a fair bit to create clearance.

I also added some runners, so that when the template is at is ends, its always flat.

That wheel barrow regularly carts wood dust to the chookyard. 1 bag if not quite full is 1 barrow load. Very handy

This was one of the older design stew mac mitre boxes. They don't sell this type anymore as the brass blocks sucked. I didn't feel bad cutting it up.

The older ones were half the price also and it'd paid for itself long ago.
