These have been around in various different guises for a while Wayde and a simple 'fixed' one can be cobbled together out of a piece of hardwood screwed to your router base to act as the "dumbell" as he calls it. This one does handle radiused backs and tops too, if you enlarge the middle picture & look closely at the plastic insert you'll see it sits higher than the aluminium sole plate plus it has an angled face.
I really must review my prices, if he can charge $350 U.S for that, then I'm seriously undercharging for my services!

I really liked the feature he included for dialling in the width and height of bindings and purflings. I hadn't seen that in any binding jigs before.

I had a similar aluminium base one I bought years ago but with two roller bearings.
