Guitar Troji
Question for Alain
Alain, how much did you drop the shelf? I've got the pieces cut out, but I need to pick up the hardware. So I should be able to get it finished this weekend.
Lillian, excuse moi! Je n'ai pas vue ce 'thread' depuis longtemps...
I'm not sure how much but I'd say about 4-5 inches. I took the very scientific approach of taking a guitar template and 'eye-balling' about where the shelf would be were the guitar standing up-right, or should I say, head down? I also took the thickness of the pad (around 2 inches) into consideration...
I'll try to remember and take the exact measurement when I head back to the shop.... ho-hum...

Alain, no need to apologize. I guess I could have just used the body tracing, but I thought I'd just ask to have the information in the thread.
Thanks for your guesstimate. That's close enough.
It's looking like my Saturday is getting eaten up by obligations, but Sunday is still free. I hope to have pictures by Sunday night.

troji in the czech language meens 'triple'
Maybe it was used to indicate a third arm to hold the guitar.
Jean Larrivee was the originator of the guitar troji and named it such. Someone should ask him
