Live from the Zoot Cave

Post by Bob Connor » Thu Sep 25, 2008 9:55 pm

I'm in Buffalo with Bob Cefalu and we're at Zoot Central , RC Tonewoods.

I can't believe how much wood is here - it's quite overwhelming.

I've taken some pics and Bob is available for the next few hours to answer any questions or if anyone wants me to take pics of any wood that isn't on Bob's website please ask.

We're away for the weekend but we'll be back next Monday so if you want to know anything fire away. What you see on Bob's website is a fraction of what is in stock here.

Here's a pic of some of the wood.

I got wind over here that Cocobolo missed out on a CITES listing by only a couple of votes. So this wood may not be available to us in Australia for much longer.

Yeah the Zoot cave is quite the experience to visit and I suspect that it would take a couple of days to see it all.

Bob how did you like Uncle Bob's shop area with the Laguna and the Griz belt sander?

Yeah , it's amazing Hesh. I keep finding stuff everywhere.

Check out this Sapele. I think Uncle bob's taking it across to Ann Arbor.

He's out there now dressing the backs for these side sets.

Gee thanks for posting all that Cuban Bob, the fact that it's CITIES II listed now and I can't buy any of it makes me feel a lot better :x !

Hi Colin

I was just talking to Bob and this Cuban comes from the island of Palau in the South Pacific so he can get some to you if you want some.

Cheers

We've been giving the belt sander a workout with some curly Tasmanian Myrtle Hesh. Nice piece of equipment. I want one. :D

Well, New York just got crossed of the list of possible places to move to some day. Sweetie doesn't want me that close to Uncle Bob's. That is unless we win the lottery.

Thanks for sharing. I think I need a dry shirt now.

How much spare room do you have Bob? I reckon we all need something from New York, and not one of those lousy T-shirts that say I Love NY! :D

Hi Gang
I'ts 5:30 AM here and I having a cup of coffee. Bob is still cutting some Z's
We took him to see Niagara Falls last nite. Had dinner and a few beers.
Bob is a great guy and we are enjoying his company. He's entertained us with a few tunes including vocals on my Bubinga Sloped Shoulder Dred.
Any one that makes the trip to the states are welcome here. We will be leaving for Ann Arbor in a couple of hours. Look for some pic's from Bob

They're for stacking copper and plastic pipes Matthew. Bob C Junior supplies a few people with them.
