Falcate Bridge Plate Thickness

I would appreciate some help to confirm what is the correct Bridge Plate Thickness for a Medium Body Sized SS Falcate Guitar. On my first Falcate SS build I used 2.5mm Bridge Plate Thickness and now for my next build recently started I have been reviewing the procedures and noticed there appears to be an issue.

I have the first edition of the Gore / Gilet Design and Build Books. The plans provided in the Build Book for a Medium Size SS Falcate Design show a dimension of 2.5mm thickness for the Bridge Plate. However, in the Build Book, page 11-49, Section 11.2.5.2, Heading: 'Drill the bridge pin holes' it indicates in the third sentence that the Bridge Plate thickness is to be 1.5mm. Which is correct when installing the Bridge Plate with a Carbon Fibre Bridge Patch?

I have the 2nd edition. Both 11.2.5.2 and the plan have 1.5mm listed as the bridge plate thickness.

Im sure Trevor will respond here.
But for all the OM sized Falcate acoustics i do at my school = 2mm give or take 10% (either rosewood, rock maple, or tassie myrtle) without CF. Seems to work ok.

I make mine around 2mm thick.....

If I recall there were two options, the thicker one was to be used if the CF fabric under the bridge plate was not used.

1.5mm as per the second edition. Apologies for the typo that got through in the 1st edition.
