What a crazy year for repairs

Have been so inundated with guitar repairs have put my hands up in surrender, no more guitars being accepted this year, zip, zilch - zero , cannot handle talking to another customer and saying, your guitars in the que, will get to it as soon as I can

I also repair woodwind and brasswind instruments and thats a solid flow of work, not many people repair them.

Been teaching a little bit, Trying to get some local guys up and running to do guitar repairs from refrets to crack repairs.

Still got enough guitar repairs waiting to take me into next year.

Crazy I tell ya, in 20 yrs never seen it this busy.

Always nice to hear from you Steve and glad to hear you've got plenty of work to keep you busy. I read somewhere that instrument sales always go up during times of crisis...I guess more instrument sales means more instrument repairs.

I always try to encourage others who may be doing it tough in the build world to enter the repair world.

It has allowed me to put three kids through school, have a workshop, pay off a mortgage, buy cars and feed my family.

Hence my attached walk through tutorials, have been told many times now to turn it into a book and remove it from my website. I did not do it to make money, I did it to encourage others to repair

Your videos have been a great help thanks Steve and I must go back and check them out again soon. Atm I have my brothers guitar which has cracks running up both sides of the saddle. I'm not the best of luthiers, it's pretty daunting. I'll start the repair with one of these gotta relax into it!!
