Chinese bending iron
Hi I recently acquired a Chinese made bending iron which has quit working .Does anyone know where I could get it looked at preferably in far north Queensland
Re: Chinese bending iron
Any appliance service shop or electrician should be able to check it out. There's not much to these irons apart from an element and a thermostat. You can get spare elements for most of these irons from Stewmac or on Ebay....bit it may be cheaper buying a whole new iron if it's a Chinese cheapie. https://luthiersupplies.com.au/replacem ... nding-iron

I'd suggest buying a decent one. Not an Ibex, they're wobbly in weeks.
The best you can get is made in England:
