Hi Everybody,
Having a crack at building my first pair of guitars at the moment, 000 size and I'm looking at doing the fretboard radius. The school I work at (I'm a teacher) has a cnc machine. They use v carve as software for it. Unfortunately I don't have the software on my computer for it, but the design tech teachers do. They told me if I had a crv file it would be easy enough to do. Does anyone know where I could get/buy a file to create a 16" radius on a fretboard from?
Or is it better to do it by hand with a radius block?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers
Jim
CNC fretboard radius file?
Re: CNC fretboard radius file?
Crv file is specific to Vectric Software.
You can use the free software they supply, to draw up and design your file, you just cannot output the toolpaths to a cnc router, but, you can take that file you have drafted and give it to those that have the licensed version to cut the product.
