Geeez thanks Martin, as it worked out i'm on a weeks leave atm so had some time in the shop, went to see the finance advisor who reckons i still have to work for a living! and Anne and i went into Melbourne to a Jazz cafe, bumped into Frank in there, five of Australias premier jazz guitarists performing, very clever musicians but a bit too much improvisation for my taste, still a good opportunity.

Lets talk about you, i reckon if your house rebuild is as organised as your lutherie shop you'll be in your new home well inside two years, i'll keep my fingers crossed for nice weather in Stirling, all the best with that Martin.

LOL...fat chance mate. It'll take 6 months to explain to the builder what an airtight membrane is and how to install it. And then there's the blower test immediately prior to putting in the wall linings. This is going to be a long build.

This house project started long before GDNZ. Ive always been interested in Passivhaus. To build a fully certified passivhaus isnt an option and I don't have the money or patience. The new place will be p[assive solar with some passivhaus concepts incorporated. Ventilation will be handled by a heat recovery ventilation system....hence the need to get the building air tight.
