Forum Software Update
Hi Folks
I've updated the forum software this morning so a few things might appear a little different but at first glance it looks much the same.
If you find something isn't working post it here and I'll see if I can fix it.
You'll notice that I've removed most of the vendor forums. A lot lot of them hadn't been used for 3 or 4 years and the cobwebs were increasing.
There is still a page which has a list of all of our preferred suppliers.
Regards

Re: Forum Software Update
Thanks Bob. We are all massively indebted to you for your ongoing stewardship of the ANZLF. It is such a part of my daily life, I don't know what I would do without it? I would need to take up crocheting or something to fill in all of that extra time.
A couple of things that I immediately notice:
In most views the drop-down menus seem to be open all the time, and cover the page below until you click on them - then they close. Can they instead be set closed, and click to open?
Wow - red buttons on the drafting page! That's different.
And the clock seems to be set an hour ahead - the posting times are wrong
I think it is a good idea to have cleared away some of the neglected corners of the site.
Keep up the great work, and don't forget to shout out to us if you need a hand or a kick-in to cover costs.
cheers
Mark

Re: Forum Software Update
Hi Mark
I had the drop down menus as well the first time I logged on.
Clearing the browser history, then log out then log in again seemed to fix it.
My clock is OK. Check the settings in your profile.

Hi Bob
Thank you for maintaining this forum. One small issue, when I open my
private messages Inbox the page is filled with the unread post icon overlaying
the text.
Cheers

Re: Forum Software Update
Yep - clearing the browser history fixed those quibbles for me. It also corrected the posting times (maybe it was a setting hanging over from daylight savings).
All good. Now, back to the workshop. Too wet in Sydney to do the bracing that I wanted to do this weekend, but I am sure there is some other thing to do. Maybe it's time for some tidying up around here?

Re: Forum Software Update

Re: Forum Software Update
I got rid of the drop down (up?) menus by logging out, logging in and then forcing a new load of the page with the shift key and clicking the reload icon (Chrome). I think the shift key works that way in other browsers, Mozilla for sure. Clearing history would do the same thing, but gets rid of a lot of website addresses I personally find handy to have them pop up with just a couple letters in the search box/
Thanks for everything you do Bob, the forum looks better than ever!
