It does interest me Steve, but why make one when you can buy excellent quality d/a truss rods??
Cheers.

Totally agree re buying truss rods.

They are so cheap, you have to ask why.

When I am building a neck or a guitar I am pretty anal about my measurements, so I like an acoustic truss rod to sit half way between nut and first fret and 25mm out from the tenon. Most truss rods you can get come close but not exact, to this end, I like them really low profile, example the stewmac ones are from memory around 11.5mm tall, on a neck thinned down to 16/17mm nut area, thats getting rather thin, when I make mine, I can get the height down to around 9mm, I think the LMI ones, which I really like as my emergency go to ones are still around 10.5mm total thickness

This is a pre made neck from LMI(not by me)

Anyway, will take photos today whilst making one

Took longer to do the photo and uploading rather than the job itself.
