How to spline a broken headstock

Post by simso » Sat Nov 26, 2016 4:34 pm

Newest installment finished, I posted a little while back a link to this one, but it was only partially finished.

Customer has collected this one now, so i have finished the walk through.

I use big splines, others I have seen use way smaller splines than me, they have held up well, I state this from having seen many broken and pre repaired headstocks that are cruising along nicely.

I was going to put a photo of the after headstock shot with the face finished, but the process was just about splinting, so I have left the after photo rough (no finish work),I do have a completed pretty photo that I could substitute into place instead, but unsure ?
