So gentlemen, have we decided to go through with this? If so, can I have a show of hands of those that would like one please?

If there is room I'd take 2 as well. If not then 1 will do. Thanks.

I'll decline the offer at this point as I've already got one you see.

It's very nice. (spoken with French accent)

So someone can grab my spot in the box.

They've mainly been by PayPal Martin.

The Gurian one was bank transfer which was a pain in the arse. I reckon I was at the Bank filling out forms for about half an hour and in the end Gurian got billed an extra $20.

So they chased me for about 6 months for it. I ended up chucking a US $20 bill in the post to shut them up.

I'm still up for a screw.
umm......................

I'll limit it to just the one, thanks.
Not fussed who or how I pay, as long as it's easy for Martin and Lillian.

Cheers, Stu

I'm still in for a Rockler Veneer Screw, though their site is now saying 'over sold'. We may need to get our numbers firmly committed so that Lillian can confidently place an order for us.

http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page ... etest=1url

As for how to pay, I suggest that all those who commit to buy make a direct transfer into one members bank account. That member then sends a Paypal payment to Lillian with what ever extra is needed thrown in by us all to cover Paypal fees to ensure that Lillian does not end up out of pocket.

So, first we need firm numbers, then we need to calculate shipping, then we can work out what Paypal will take from the total we send Lillian and that will give us the total USA component. If no one else has stuck there hand up yet to be a receivals agent, I will do it, but if someone else wants the task your welcome to it.

Cheers

I can take care of paying Lillian then buyers can reimburse me via direct credit to my bank account.

At the moment the order stands as follows:

Me - 2
Allen - 2
Stu (oz tradie) - 1
Kimbo - 1

That makes a total of 6 by my calculation.

The order has been placed. With shipping to me and tax it comes to 154.39

They are on backorder as you all know. I will let you know whenever I hear from Rockler about the status of our order.

Thank you for you understanding. Its been a real rocky two weeks, but I think my friend has turned the corner.

Okay Lads (and Gal),

I've just paid Lillian for the screws. When Lillian gets the goods and ships them off Ill square her up for freight and paypal charges. Ill then sting you for reimbursement.

$US154.39 worked out at $Aus 163.19.

Cheers Martin

Thank you Kim. Things got a bit ugly there, but she is pulling it all together and has opted not to have to wear the white jacket with the extra long sleeves. Sometimes you just need to sleep for a few days to get a different perspective on things.

Lovely stuff !!!

Good to hear things on the up and up , Lillian.
It's fair to say your friend should feel blessed to have a close friend
such as yourself when things get a little tough.
Perspective is always there, but not always found facing in the right direction, I guess. :(

Thanks for organising this Lill & Martin, and not fussed with the wait either.

cheers, Stu

Thanks to the both of you. Gives me some time to think about how I'm going to build my new side bender. Those old molds are going to get the bin toss and I'll start afresh.

Rockler called to say ask if I realized the parts requested were on backorder and would this cause a problem. They anticipate shipping in about a month.
