Port fairy sounds like the world of fun , last I was there 5 or 6 years back it sure was .
Lost trades was an awesome show with a bit of an instrument makers stand of its own. Highlight for me there was getting to sit at the side of legendary bowed instrument maker Kevin Williams . The guy is my idea of royalty . At 90 he is still making , his latest viol a crazy eccentric shaped thing in flat sawn holey Birdseye red stringybark . What a thing of beauty is an old master flipping the bird at the stuck up world of bowed instruments .

I managed to stay standing the whole time , I don't reckon I've flapped my lips that much ever . Liam Wratten, a co conspirator handed me a sandwich about 10 and by 2 Id only 3/4 eaten it , it actually went stale in my hand . Every time I tried to take a bite someone would ask what the bloody boat was made of . I got so bored with answering the same questions over and over I told some poor couple that my boat was made of peanut butter just to liven the conversation . I took 15 pages of course bookings which would be about 3 years worth so generally you'd say a success . Sold one guitar set to someone who was going to make a box ( one for you later woodrat ) and a buch of gidgee fingerboards that we're going to be used for drawer sides ! Someone bought a slab of sugar wood and asked me how to sand it , I suggested he try sandpaper .
Id like to talk up the drinking but unfortunately after 2 coopers green I had to have a sit down , and they were free!!
