Stainless truss rod vs plain steel

What is the comparison between a dual action stainless steel truss rod and a plain steel one? Has any one been using the Chinese ones available on ebay?

With a stainless steel rod you can spill coffee on your fretboard and not have to worry about the truss rod rusting

The reason I asked is that there are ones on eBay...the stainless ones have blue wrap and the others a red wrap. The stainless ones are cheaper. I have used Gotoh style from ALS, these look remarkably similar.BTW, free postage.

I've been using the d/a rods from LMI, good product, don't care about a couple of $s here or there, do the job, reliable, not thinking about changing to save a few $s.

The thing about Stainless is the chrome in it that 9 out of 10 times needs anti seize so it does not bind and lock up ending the threads life rite there ,boy have I had some frustrating times over the years MS is your best bet.
