Thanks for that Bob
I noted there seems to be a few add on apps, they worth it?

I use Windows version of Peterson tuner. I use it in conjunction with VA for tap testing work.
Are you just using the tuner for tuning or are you doing tap testing etc?

The only add on I have is an adaptor lead that I can plug in to the phone.Hank wrote:Thanks for that Bob

Tcelectronic polytune. Quick and super accurate.
I have 1 on the bench and 1 on my pedal board.
I never use the polyphonic function.

I have a cheap-arse generic clip on tuner (the little square ones) for initial stringing up then once I've got the strings to stop stretching, I switch over to the Peterson iStrobosoft app for final tuning and intonation setting.

Re: Electronic Tuners-what's on ur bench?
I use Korg rackmount tuners -an old one in the workshop in a loop between the bench and the amp - a newer version of the same one in the office. Both are quite accurate with a wide sweep and 3 tuning modes from coarse to strobe. For non amplified instruments i'll use a clip or if I am repositioning a saddle or bridge an old korg floor tuner sitting on the sound board.
I am thinking on getting a contact peizo so i can use rackmounts for acoustic instruments. I get the odd banjo, mando and a quite few non amped guitars. Rackmount tuners are apparently out of fashion and you can pick them up on evil bay quite cheaply when you consider what they do.
