Anybody used this stuff?
At 5.40 into the vid Eric Coleman uses 'Deglue goo'. I see it has Acetic acid as it's active ingredient, just wondering if any body here has used it and if so, did it do what it says on the tin?

Re: Anybody used this stuff?
I own a bottle of it but have never had to use it Nick.
I seem to remember that Rick Turner swore by it, so I basically bought a bottle on his recommendation.
I believe it works with Titebond and LMI white.
Regards

Acetic acid doesn't appear to be the only active ingredient. I wanted to get rid of some residual Titebond set on the sides of the bottle before I re-used the bottle. I left full strength cleaning vinegar in it for a week. No effect whatsoever!Nick wrote:At 5.40 into the vid Eric Coleman uses 'Deglue goo'. I use it to clean up glue around braces or linings. It works great. It jell constancy keeps it in place. I let it sit a few minutes and scrape it off.

Hmmm thanks Trevor, must be more to this white man's magic!Trevor Gore wrote:Acetic acid doesn't appear to be the only active ingredient. Thanks John, the sort of thing I'm after, would hate to get a bottle all the way back to NZ only to find I've paid for a bottle of expensive snake oil. Do you have to 'wash' any residual off afterwards to stop further reaction or is it an apply once and forget?johnparchem wrote:I use it to clean up glue around braces or linings. It works great. Re: Anybody used this stuff?
I remove it as part of the clean up process of removing the dissolved glue. I do not really do anything else to neutralize it other than my normal prep. I have never had any issues with it after it dried.
