Wow! Some excellent works here. :cl A newbie here and a newbie luthier. But not new to woodworking. Learning all I can is my aim and sharing info. I hope to post some pics of my instruments here when I'm happy with what I make. But this was my second effort at a Gibson LP copy.
Body is Vic Mountain Ash with Ancient NZ Karri Pine top.

Thanks guys. No, I used my own Gibson LP Studio as the model for my templates. I then cut the templates using 7mm marine ply. The photo really doesn't do justice to the beauty of the Ancient NZ Karri Pine top. The "whitebait" grain is just so cool. I plan to strip it down and fit better quality pups and refinish it.
