A pic that Jeremy posted quite a while back caught my attention at the time and I've always wanted to do something similar.
His was a outline with a simple but classy filigree on the 12th fret.
Well, I pinched the filigree concept but put my own touch on the theme. I thought it only fitting as this blank came from Jeremy a couple years ago and I'm only getting a chance to look at it now!

How do you intend filling the channel Allan, Purfling strips, shell or a solid (coloured) epoxy? Certainly will add a touch of class to the fingerboard.

I filled it with maple just after I took those pics. I'll get to sand it back today and see what it looks like.

The colouring turned out very much as I expected, as in its very subtle. On this I was torn between leaving the board blank with no inlay or doing something barely noticeable, anyway, I'm pleased with the result:
