Shop Dog eh? Hmmmm. I have a shop frog instead. Not a trip risk, but a slip risk for sure ...

Shop dog, shop frog. Well I can't continue the rhyme but I have a couple of shop blue tongues. I have never tripped or slipped on them but occasionally while sitting at the PC and one of those buggas slides his (or her) head out from under my bench next to my feet I sure as hell shit a brick or two.
Life is good when you are amongst the wood.

I typically have to step over two dogs and a cat whilst making shavings in the shed :D The youngest pup is still likely to make off with an interesting looking tool or bit of timber, so he at least prompts me to try and keep things relatively clean and not leave things lying around.
Of the native fauna (that I've seen) in the last year or so there's been two pythons, a tree snake, one fat possum and an interesting evening with 5 bats flying around my head (small guys, not fruit bats thankfully, that would have been too much).

my little friend was a miserable ball of sawdust and shavings before I washed her off. She's lucky that I used the water bottle and not the meths.

His shop dog pic reminded me of this one:

and a bit older laying in front of the woodfire:

There's always two of them floating/sleeping around my workshop and often trying to get under my feet or asleep under a bench somewhere!
