Bob The Zootman has some nicely figured Spanish Cedar Neck blanks at the OLF swap meet for $75 (2 necks per blank)

Just wondering if anyone else was interested so we could share shipping costs?

You can put me down for 1 Bob. If you place the bid, I'll square up with you.

I've got a bid on a few birdseye maple sets, so have hopefully something coming from there as well.

I did get a quote from Bob for freight and it's $55 for one neck. (ouch)
It will reduce if there are more.

It looks like there is only one neck left. #2. I'll pass on it, but if someone wants to grab it, they better act fast.

Right then.

It looks like they weigh about 9 pounds each.

Freight on a 70 pound parcel is $284.

Which would equate to around $35 per neck blank.

I don't know if USPS would ship a single package of that weight so it's probably better if Martin organises his own shipping and gets his 5 sent straight to SA. Probably cheaper for you to do it that way Martin than having to cough up freight from Geelong to Adelaide

I can drop of Kim's in Melbourne next time I'm up that way and I'll have some stuff to ship to Allen in the next few months so I can pack his neck blank in with it - so we could split the freight on the remaining three.

Probably be little more than $35 but not too much more.

How does that sound gents?

Bob

Got in contact with Bob and 5 necks are on their way. Shipping ended up costing $US166.73.

Cheers Martin
