Hey folks,
It's taken me a while but I've finally got a decent batch of herringbone and wheat built.
For a first attempt I spose it took me about 10 hours all up. I buggered up the first batch though and had to start again half way through.
I reckon I've got enough herringbone and wheat for about 10 guitars now
Who wants some? Yours for a $100 a piece
Wayde.
First crack at herringbone and wheat

Yep learning sure takes time Wayde but wouldn't it be great to be paid by the hour, even a pittance at my speed i'd be wealthy

That looks very good Wayde, well done!
Funny, a few weeks ago I was tinkering with making herringbone too. It came to a halt when I saw it works fine, but for continuing started to search some decent wood for making nicer veneers than the ugly black and red stained sycamore veneer I had used for the tests.
