I love my new scroll saw

Post by Taffy Evans » Fri Feb 21, 2014 3:01 pm

I'm still finding uses for my scroll saw, this was a recent job that saved me making a template and routing the shaped soundhole.

Lets see a rosette around that one Taffy. I'm sure you have some wiz bang set up that we'll all be amazed.

Hi Allen, I used my modified LMI circle cutter. I cut the inside and outside lines then chiseled out to allow for the simple herringbone inlay. There's a recent post of the cutter somewhere on here.

Looking great Taff, I just hope that it is for a girl. Something just gives me the feeling that's it's not really a MAN'S Guitar :)

Well Maybe some Men :?

Hi Todd, as funny as it may seem I was inspired by the guitars of two male performers. The 12 string guitar of Pete Seeger [RIP] with a heart..ish shaped soundhole, and Eric Clapton's "Ivan the Terrible" twelve string guitar by Zamatis.

Well, you have to admit, he's pretty good at this stuff.....

Nice Taffy.

Now I want a scroll saw more than ever......surely there must be SOMETHING I could use it for....
I wish I was half the man my dog thinks I am....

Cheers,
Nick
