Ibex Bending iron replacement heater

Post by Bob Connor » Mon Apr 28, 2008 4:39 pm

Does anyone know of any distributors of Vulcan Cartridge Heaters in Australia?

Image

We've trashed our bending iron and I have a part number of the heater but a search on the net shows up nothing as to where I might purchase one of these.

I can get to www.vulcanco.com who are the manufacturers in the States but they don't sell direct and there are no distributor lists on the site.

I reckon I'll have to try and find somewhere in the States to order one but I've turned up zilch so far.

Cheers

Bob

Hello Bob,

I had all sorts of trouble with my new Ibex bending iron some months ago. I bought mine from LMI and they have the 110 volt and 220 volt elements for $30

Here is the link

If you need an element in a hurry I have a 110 volt element that LMI sent me by mistake when my original iron shit itself. They ended up sending me the right 220 volt element in the end. The 110 volt element will work but may not get hot enough. If you want me to send it on down let me know.

Cheers

Alan

G'day Alan

If you want to sell the 110 volt heater I'd be happy to buy it.

We've got a 110 volt transformer so it'd be perfect.

I posted this over at the OLF and got a reply from David Collins that Watlow sell this sort of thing and they have an office in Victoria.

I believe they also sell heating blankets so I'll follow both up.

In the meantime Alan is posting me one today.
