Forum Outage
My ISP (iinet) got hit in an electrical storm on Friday Night and it took until this afternoon Monday) to repair the damage.
Two or three suburbs were totally out apparently.

Thought we had lost the forum, you never realise how much you enjoy something until it's not there!

Thanks for getting it all going again, Bob.
I was trying to gain access from the far western suburbs and couldn't get a connection up. I didn't know whether you had something against the western suburbs or whether it was the computer I was using!

I don't think iinet have fully got to the bottom of the problem as it seems to be a bit intermittent at the moment.

Thanks Bob. It must be costing you a bit to keep the forum running, how do you pay for it? maybe a collection tin should be handed around to assist with the cost.

Re: Forum Outage
It actually only costs me in power bills and a little time. (and also worrying about disasters happening when I go way which happened this week)
Mind you I was away for about six weeks earlier in the year and everything chugged along just fine.
The actual internet traffic incurred by the forum is quite insignificant .

Naaahh...Big mistake Eric.
Bob would just turn it into Guinness for him and his mates on the very next pub night and then blame all of us for the brutal 'morning after' headaches..

Cheers
