I haven't been posting much on here lately coz i haven't been doing much in the shop,,, we've moved house and that means moving the workshop, Well we've downsized by about 10 square and that means less shop area for Rod, previously i had a 3.5 square machine shop and a 3.5 square assembly and display area and now i have about half that, now i have to be a lot more economical with space i have. Only been here a week and have a long way to go but the new shop is taking shape, i have a fair bit to get done by late October including more domestic stuff that the boss requires, but looking forward to getting everything shipshape asap.
A couple of pics of the new work space.

Nice and tidy Rod , not like my mess Atm .
4 Dewalt drills ?

Do you weld ? I had a new shed built , no truss to store things up in though so I welded up a pair of trusses designed for storage over head , they sit about one meter apart with a wooden shelf as a floor, holds a lot of stuff I would only pull down once or twice a year. I could do with a couple more if I had the time. I'll throw on a picture if your interested.

Thought we hadn't heard much from you recently Rod and now I see why! As Rob mentioned, you sure you have enough cordless drills? I bought a DeWalt for work and after using I don't think I'd use any other brand now, torque for Africa and great battery life.

Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.

Nice and tidy!

Looking at this I definitely need more shelves in my space.

Hi Rod , Glad to see I'm not the only one confined to the garage :)

But where do you put the Car ? I'm only on one side

Wood gets wet..big problem. Car gets wet...no problem.

Wood stays inside....car stays outside.

Martin is soooooo right, wood and tools rule, car always comes second although i do intend to erect a carport to house the car, also i think i,ll attach a bit of an extension to the new worksop to install the dust extractor and the drum sander and compressor, also a few more storage racks .
I really do have ship loads to do in the coming weeks, besides all the domestic stuff i'm trying to refinish an earlier build, [ pictured ], and take it to Abbotsford and i also have a commission build 75% done so that has high priority too but once i've got things under control i'll really enjoy getting this shop the way i want it, i'm thinking, insulated, air con, bigger fridge,, Yay! :gui :gui :gui
