Guys
I want to use a carbon fibre rod in my Uke build, because it looks like the right thing to do. For those of you that use carbon fibre truss rods, where are you buying them from? I know Stewmac and Lmi sell them, but is there a source in Australia, as I am getting tired of paying the crazy postage. I found this lot - http://www.carbonfiber.com.au/prod82.htm but I am not sure about the sizing. I was thinking of cutting a slot in the neck on the table saw, and throwing this 6mm * 4mm on it side into the slot, or maybe two slots what do you all think? Minimum order is $27 (3 metres) with $6 postage, which is a whole lot better that the $150 it would cost for the equivalent in 6mm * 5mm from Stewmac.
What do you think?

Cant advise on sizing but Ive done business with the company and haven't had any problems.

I get mine out of the USA from a few different sources. Always buying in bulk. Never from LMI or StewMac. Far to pricey from them.
I use to cut the slot on the table saw. Now use the milling machine.
