New Luthier Tips du Jour mailbag video - fret ends

Post by Robbie O'Brien » Tue Feb 12, 2013 4:44 am

Recently I started a new series called Luthier Tips du Jour mailbag. These are questions that I get from viewers around the world. I decided to address these in the new series called mailbag. Here is the second one and it comes from a viewer in Italy that had some questions about fret ends sticking out past the fretboard

Enjoy!

Thanks again Robbie, the "mailbag" format is going to be an excellent body of reference material for everybody. It's dealing with realworld problems others are experiencing, we don't have huge humidity problems in New Zealand (well not in the lower parts of the country at least!) and tend to not have to deal with these kinds of problems but it's not to say you wouldn't ever, so having some reference can never hurt just to refresh the grey matter or show newbies some good tips.

Love the new theme tune too (I make Selmers from time to time and love the gypsy jazz sound), who's the artist and what's the title?
"Jesus Loves You."
Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.

Thanks Nick. Glad to hear you are enjoying the new mailbag series of the Tips du Jour videos.
I am not at liberty to reveal the composer of the new theme music yet. It has not been released and he has therefore asked me to not reveal the name of the piece or his name until it is. The harp guitar you see in the video is his instrument though.
