5 String Tenor Guitar

This is being set up using old guitar strings, 11- 50. They seem a reasonable guage. Still a lot of set up work ot do, I just had to get strings on and see what I have. Pretty happy with it.

I coloured my shellac brown to make it a few shades darker and stripped the head , tailpiece and pickguard. They will have matte oil like the f.b.

That one turned out really nice! (which, of course is not a surprise).

I see a rather classical shape with some Paulin signature lines added.

I'm reluctant to go on too much about the polishing becauce I'm finding my way and I don't anyone following my advice
to end up saying " that bastard! "

top......Bunya, graduated like a thickish mando, braces , angled parallel guitar sized.
sides.... Blackwood
back and backstrap..... PNG Rosewood
neck...... Plantation Mahog.
tailpiece, pickguard, fb and head veneer...False Sandlewood
nut, bridge and bindings ... Solomon Blackwood
Grovers, Kent Armstrong and Schatten thumbwheel controls

A note on Solomon Blackwood...It bends very easy, at least the sizes I used. I remember about a year ago someone
was having a battle with Ebony.
