vacuum pumps

Post by pavliku » Mon Nov 05, 2012 7:35 pm

Hi guys,
I want to make a vacuum setup for gluing bridges etc - this one, http://www.joewoodworker.com/veneering/EVS/concept.htm
I cant afford a new pump - or anything too costly - these three are on trademe at the moment,

Does anyone know if they are suitable for this application?
Thanks,
Paul.

Mine looks pretty similiar to that one you have posted in your first link, they work really good, but I found I still needed to fit a reservoir tank to the unit and a one way valve so as not to draw the oil out of the pump when it switches off.
