SCA Clamp (Cramp) Heads Up

Post by woodrat » Wed Sep 19, 2012 10:23 am

I never have enough clamps...you know the feeling. :(

Anyway I went to Supercheap Auto the other day to buy a new radiator cap and low and behold they sell a range of clamps. I especially like 3 and 4 inch cast Iron ones. I have one beautiful old Record 3 inch that I use all the time. So when I saw these at SCA I bought 4 of them. they were $4.99 so you cant complain about that. They have an acme working thread in the 3 inch and up so thats pretty good. One caution though, go through the lot and eyeball the way the thread screws right up to make sure that it is inline with the body of the clamp. I found a high % that weren't. Chose well and you've got yourself got yourself a good cheap clamp.

Cheers

John
