I'm Arnt Rian from Norway, 46, some of the oldtimers around here has probably seen my name in a few of the other guitarmaking forums. I think I joined this forum when it started, but I haven't posted here much...

I built my first acoustic in 2000, and according to my friends and family, I've pretty much been in the shop ever since. For a couple of periods I've built full time or part time, now I'm back to building at nights and week-ends while working as an architect by day. I make mostly steel string guitars, and a few mandolins.

Cheers!
Arnt Rian,
Norway

Hi,

I'm Matt, 24 and live in Geelong, Vic.

I found this forum about a year ago? but haven't really had anything to post. I have read through the many handy tips and example guitars. I've been reading up about building for a few years now and very very slowly been acquiring small tools and supplies (being a poor uni student at the time... Like Arnt, I (surname 'Arnott') studied architecture.). 6 months ago I made my first cut and have borderline started building an OM (some cutting & glueing top/back), but acquiring tools and getting access to power tools has slowed me down a lot, as the kitted out sheds I can use are 1 to 3 hours drive away so I need to really plan ahead (something I'm not good at) I'll get there eventually though.
