OK, Trevor is available over the queens BD so that weekend is looking increasingly likely. Now, Craig and Bruce, you have seen my workshop. Do you recon we could use it for the class? Trevor can stand at my small bench and we have to distribute ourselves around so we have something to use as a desk. And we need some kind of white projector screen, that should easy.

Now, there is an IGA and a pub and a chinese place about 200m away then a quick car ride and we can be in charnwood where there is lots of places to eat and get supplies. I recon it would work here but what do you guys think?

I'm looking forward to it, at least I am assured of making it and won't have to worry about car troubles this time.

Please let us know if your plans have changed, or if you are more certain you will make it. I want to start firming down the dates 9th -- 11th June so we can get on and organise other things.

Cheers

Dom,

At this stage I'm unable to committ 100% because of uncertainty over my work schedule. I could offer to pay for the course regardless of whether or not I attend but that would deny someone else the chance to attend. If 68matts can firm commit then I think it fair that you give him my place on the course.

Dom

Eight people in your workshop will be nice and cosy in June in Canberra.
I think it would work, but I don't know what facilites Trevor requires.
Would it be worthwhile sending Trevor photos of your workshop so he can
get an idea of space.

I am happy to help you to clean up if you would some help.

Martin, including you and Scott who must fly in from the US we have 10 people which should be OK. But any more it could get unwieldy. in the class. Why don't we keep you in and then it up to your schedule. I kind of expect one or two to drop out as well so it could work out well.
So Martin, it would be a shame if you lost your place. I think you should stay in and see how work turns out.

For anyone else who was keen to come, I can put you down on a reserves bench for now and then it is up to others to drop out.

I am still OK for the Queen's Birthday weekend. I will drive down from Sydney so I could offer a ride to Scott if need be.

Oops - Didn't see the second page. - obviously i'm not a computer whiz.

Looks like you everything sorted.
Can you add me to you backup list - if anyone drops out.

Alternatively, would Trevor be interested in running a second course in Brisbane. I'm sure we could get enough interest to make it viable.

OK guys, date is set for the queens birthday, 9th - 11th June. I think we should restrict it to 8 plus Trevor otherwise it could get a bit tight.

I should note, this is not a builders course, Trevor may have a course outline to put up.

So on a first in basis we have

Me (Dom)
Craig
Bruce
Nick
Martin (maybe)
ScottC (if he can get here from the US)
Mark McClean
Frank
Matt
Chuckie
Bob (thebuilder)

If have missed anyone please let me know. I suppose the maybe’s could work out a reasonable time to decide so replacements have time to organise.
I'll be chatting with Trevor soon to work out details.
Cheers

Frank, I don't think he exists in the 'real' world - he's just an internet account in a server that's developed a warped version of AI.
He's all ones & zeros - especially when buying tonewood!

It would scare you Frank, I'm telling you! He scares little children in his spare time, secretly desires owning a green car & lives on a diet of tonewood & drinks gallons of hide glue just for fun.

Not happy about having to miss Trevor's course but I'll do my best to make myself available for the next one. It's a good example of the downside of working in the mining / oil and gas game......planning more than a few weks ahead is usually impossible.

As to whether or not I exist......my long suffering wife will confirm that I do exist as does my tonewood stash.

Its surprising the concentration of us in the ACT. Trevor was saying he had not run a course in Sydney yet so central coast and ACT seem to be hot beds of guitar building enthusiasm. Competition is good for everyone.

Anyway, all anyone needs to do if find a venue and 8 or so people who can meet for 3 days and you have a course in the making.

Martin, would you really be fooled by the computer code if your wife was happy all time, bought you presents of tonewood and told you to spend more time in the workshop?

So I hope your programers let you take to course soon.

Cheers
