australian beefwood

dear friends. Can somebody let me know if they know something about australian beefwood or bullet wood. If someone has used this wood on their guitars i would be happy to receive their comments about the sound of this wood and if you have pictures of a guitar then will be great if you can display. Thank you allen for your help.

Ashok the only piece of beefwood I have come across was hard and very resinous, I wouldn't use it for anything other than nut or saddle or decorative inlay. But the colour didn't suit the first two uses on a double bass, and there are other decorative woods that I'd use in preference to beefwood. I still have a chunk of it somewhere, probably make a good tool handle or something. I think there are several varieties of tree called beefwood, also. I have not heard of bullet wood before.
